I love it.
I didn't get to installing this piece until this past December. It was also harder to find a place to put it up than I had anticipated. Wish it could have been in Wynwood but just happy I finally out it up- thanks to my father! Love the final product :) Shout out to Magic Bananas (of course) and my mom for helping me install on the two visits it took.
In the middle of my second semester of my first year of dental school.
I love it.
The summer is finally winding down and that means I have survived my first two months living in NYC. I LOVE THIS CITY.
Regardless of all the times I was caught in the rain in flip flops (Floridian problems) and umbrella-less.. Or the times I walked in circles trying to figure out which direction I really needed to be going.. or how expensive things seem to be (though it seems I have grown numb to this).. this summer has been an incredible experience and I am looking forward to spending my next four years here.
I loved my summer research project and really enjoyed all the work I did with the implants and in the biomaterials department. I met some really awesome people and made lots of new friends! Cant wait to see what else NYC and NYUCD has in store for me.
And of course... no matter how busy I was exploring the city, socializing, and working in the lab.. I found time for my true love.. crochet! This summer I have been working on my next yarn bomb installation. I have actually been working on this yarn bomb for almost three months- so needless to say... it is going to be BIG and AMAZING.
I am going home to Miami for a few weeks on Monday and have a few WIPs already waiting for me- can't wait! I will be finishing a fabulous t-shirt blanket for my cousin!
